Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from Light and Strong I was in the market for a pair of semi-automatic crampons for my new lightweight alpine boots and these were the best fit, I tried the Grivels but they presented a large gap at the front, so I returned them. The Sabretooths had more of a curve and fit the sole very nicely, are solid when fitted. They are good quality, and I like the stainless material over the chrome-moly. They are relatively light for a non-aluminum crampon. I have had no performance issues - I haven't been in wet sticky snow so I can't comment on how well the anti-ball plates work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joshua from One of the better all-around crampons on the market A great blend of walk-ability and climb-ability, this crampon can slog up glaciers or climb alpine ice. The newer style BD ABS plates work much better than the previous generation. I'd like to see BD develop an attachment system that can toggle between the clip and pro style, as Petzl is currently making - mainly so that it's easier to use one crampon with a variety of boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Geoffrey from Great but needed easy small fix/adjustment This is a great all-around crampon if you are looking forward to build your experience into alpine and ice climbing. I had to buy a pair of long flex center bar for my 46.5 boots. This crampon come with standard center bar which fit up to 46. Also my crampon came in with a slightly bent front spike but it is a easy fix with pliers and file, not a big problem. I used it first time on alpine climbing trip last weekend and it works like a charm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by lubica from Light and works well Used the crampons on Pico de Orizaba. Work very well. Very lightweight. I was between those and Grivel G12. Grivel was heavier. Happy with Sabretooth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam from Good for snow, not for ice. These crampons are not aggressive enough to climb ice but they do rather well at climbing alpine snow. If you are looking to buy these with hopes that you will be able to climb ice as well, look for a different pair, specifically the cyborgs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by moose from Love 'em. I am using these as my ski mountaineering crampons because I occasionally do encounter mixed rock conditions as I ski in the late spring/summer and I don't mind the added weight on most missions. I am thinking about getting a second pair of aluminum neves, but honestly, that's a luxury item - these would be my first go-to. They fit well and so far have been bombproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patrick from ...When the Tiger want to reach the summit Bought to MEC (Québec City) The Sabertooth pro was the perfect choice to perform my fast & light mountaineering style. From the snow to the ice & rock, nothing can't stop the Sabertooth to reach the summit. I use the Sabertooth Pro with the Scarpa Mont Blanc pro GTX. That fit perfectly and the feeling is AMAZING! A part fo my new 2017 Black Diamond Kit.
