DescriptionOriginally conceived by Black Diamond athlete and metalworker Whit Magro, the Black Diamond Snaggletooth Crampon is a horizontal monopoint designed for big alpine routes where crux mixed pitches demand technical precision, but long approach slopes and snowy summit ridges require increased stability. A small secondary frontpoint offers additional stability and bite on both steep ice and low-angle neve. The Snaggletooth’s stainless steel construction features a strong yet lightweight design with rocker in the front rail to accommodate modern mountain boots.
- Unique horizontal monopoint with smaller secondary front point
- Stainless steel construction is lightweight, durable, resists snowballing and won’t rust > Low-profile micro-adjust heel bail offers precision fit
- For use on a ski boot, you will want to order wide toe bails sold separately
- Includes front and rear dual-density ABS
Weight Per Pair : 890 g (1 lb 15 oz)
Materials : Stainless steel

Rated 4 out of 5 by gareth from Regulating the crampons to fit Hi, just got them and trying to fit them to my boots. Moved the back Bail with ease. The front toe bail is very hard. Any advice or manual included with the purchase would be most helpful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by greg from Initial reactions with BD i purchased these to climb water ice, they are likely the 5th or 6th set of crampons i have bought over the last 15-20 years. loved the reviews so figured to give them a try. brought them as a second set to climb glacier peak (not water ice lol) for a test out. voila, they would not fit my koflach arctis expes. tried them on my koflach invernos and same issue. the toe bail just kept popping out when i tried to install them. last week brought them for a friend to try on waterfall ice and they were a perfect fit. contacted BD and immediately was told i need the wide bail. my info was taken and a pair of toe bails arrived asap. would not take any payment, not even shipping fees. so i will try them at ouray this feb and give some feedback. oh, and BD used a cut down recycled shipping envelope to ship. peter, you are a visionary and walk the walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brandon from Grippy Moving on to my fifth pair of crampons and each time they keep getting better. I love these- they are grippy, easy to put on and off, hug the boot very well, and very reliable. I take these on all my major glacier expeditions!!
