Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryan from My go-to glove I've been using the Dirt Bag glove since they came out, and they are my favorite all around gloves. They work well for bike commuting, outdoor work, and climbing - as a belay glove for cold weather rock and for ice and mixed. They have been my choice glove for 95% of my winter climbing the past 3 seasons, and I lead everything but the hardest pitches in these in moderate weather (above 10 degrees F). Put some leather treatment on them and they will remain highly water resistant for a while. A great value for an awesome product. Size down if you plan on climbing in them. They will feel small at first but stretch to fit nicely. Nice work BD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rodney from A Nuclear Reactor For My Hands I received frost bite on my hands when I was a teenager and have yet to find gloves that really keep my hands warm because of some nerve damage. I have a vast supply of gloves including top of the line winter gloves. The Dirt Bag gloves blow them all away. I measured my hands and got the appropriate size as stated on the BD site. The gloves appeared tight at first but the leather stretched and now I know where the phrase "fits like a glove" came from. Please do not change these gloves. I work in a garden on the Maine coast and I have had these out while pruning and snow shoveling in 5 degree weather. They are wicked awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Graham from Cheap, relatively warm, great to beat up I bought these gloves for ski patrol work, and I'm glad I did - the damage they've soaked up would be a lot more upsetting on a more expensive glove. They aren't the warmest, but a set of midweight liner gloves does wonders for warmth. Makes things a bit of a tight fit, though. Going a size up over the liner gloves would help, but maybe make them too big on their own. Water resistant only, not waterproof. Water stays out for the workday, but they definitely need a place to dry thoroughly overnight before I take them out in the morning. Would buy again when this pair bites the dust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by James from Warm and great fit I have only had these for a few weeks and haven't really put them through a rigorous test yet besides braving a snowstorm for two hours directing traffic for a local food bank in thirty degree weather. They shed the snow and rain well, and kept my hands warm for almost the entirety of time I was outside. I ordered a medium even though I have fairly small hands and the fit is still great. I really like the cuff, as well - it fits perfectly under the sleeves of a sweater or jacket. I love their minimalist design and I'm looking forward to having this pair until they give out. The only reason why I didn't give the gloves five stars is because nothing is perfect and I haven't been able to test them thoroughly enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bob from Very Good Glove Didn't need a fancy "Glove System" or submersible waterproof bombproof nukeproof nylon glove either. I just wanted something simple, made of leather and warm...much like my old NPS dress gloves were. These fit the bill perfectly. They are warm, dry enough I'm sure...though not had them wet yet...and leave me enough dexterity to pull zippers and other not too fine tasks. I love the gloves and the fact I got them on sale makes them even sweeter! Size seems about right...I got a large and they fit nicely. Like any leather product...they will be better as they break in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Evan from Fabulous work/ski glove Let's keep these babies to ourselves. Don't tell anybody how great they are! Woops just did. I have been using cold weather work gloves from my local feed store for years, White Eagle, is the brand I think. These BD work gloves are better for both work (loading the snowmachines on trailers, snowblowing etc.) and play (skinning and skiing etc.). They don't breath as well as a fabric/leather work glove but have replaced those in my front and backcountry packs. I also keep a pair at the frond door for shoveling and pushing out my stuck car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from Upgrade from the old Kinco standby These are obviously patterned after the standard Kinco glove used by ski bums and patrollers everywhere, but with a few improvements. These have curved fingers and a nice fleece lining. I always found Kinco's very tiresome to break in due to the straight fingers, and I don't miss the cotton canvas back that was prone to water soakage. I haven't had them long enough to speak to durability, but so far they're doing great. I hope the added longevity offsets the cost over a standard work glove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Neil from Durable, Warm, Practical, I'm on my second Pair I use these gloves for ski patrol and they've held up to a lot of work and play on the mountain! They are warm enough (I carry a warmer pair in the case I end up in the country longer than expected). They work well with digging, rope work, climbing towers, as well as hold up with no major issues! They will eventually wear out like any glove, but probably not as fast as any other warm leather glove! I like how its easy on and off, no straps to bother with.
