  • In verschiedenen Farben erhältlich

ATC-XP Belay/Rappel Device wurde bewertet mit 4.9 von 5 von 11.
Rated 5 von 5 von aus My Go To Belay Device Simple, bulletproof, dependable. I've never dropped anyone (including myself) using this kind of belay/rappel device, and nobody has ever dropped me using this kind of device. Compared to the Gxx-Gxx thingy, well, i'm glad that i wasn't killed when a belayer dropped me using one of those things. The ATC-XP is my go-to belay device these days. It's 100% dependable ... whether under blue skies, or in the rain, or out in the ice and snow ... it always, always does its job for me.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Go to Device I have many different devices including a typical ATC, and a assisted braking device. The ATC-XP is by far the best belay device I have. I use it almost everyday from instructing friends on how to belay, scouts and using my self. This device is very sturdy and hard wearing, considering how much use it has got it is still like new (part from some cosmetic scratches). I prefer the ATC-XP over the bug due to the groves which allow extra friction when belaying heavier people. Excellent device. Will definitely buy another one when my one eventually wears out or I lose it.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus Amazing, but worn down This thing is amazing. For rappelling, it switches from stop/go very quickly and is very easy to control; it can stop on a dime. However, with about 20 rappels the teeth are starting to get worn down. Not just the paint; the metal itself. It is still going to last for many more but is important to keep in mind the rate that it degrades. Luckily, they are relatively cheap to replace.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus The gold standard. What can you say about the ATC-XP? It is THE standard for belaying and rappelling. I also have the guide model, and the regular ATC. The XP offers better friction and control than the regular ATC, and is lighter and simpler than the guide model (really - how often does the average climber need "guide" mode?). This is the one to get.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Great Belay Device Have been using this for about a year now in all sorts of scenarios, indoor as well as outdoor and in all weathers. It hasnt let me down so far and is still going strong. Love the fact that you can reverse it for a "lower grip" mode should you want to ... say if you were having an easy climbing day.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Solid & Dependable The ATC-XP is an excellent belay device that is particularly good for frequent users. Unlike the grigri or other belay devices that use assisted braking, the ATC-XP is beginner-friendly. It enforces good belay technique and the friction mode facilitates ease of use for smaller belayers. The friction mode also helps to prolong the life of the device. From a programmatic standpoint, the XP could use a few more color choices to improve color-based equipment tracking. It would also be awesome if Black Diamond made an XP out of steel, instead of aluminum, although I realize that that does not match the majority of the market. However, for educational and industrial usage, in which weight is not a concern, but durability and longevity is, a steel ATC would be a game changer. The increased durability and the reasonable price tag are why my outdoor education company is switching to the XP as our preferred belay device, and I recommend it to anyone looking for the next step in their belay/rappel devices.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Good, basic ATC This ATC is super beginner friendly, easy to use, and great for learning on. They're easy to fit normal sized climbing ropes in, and I've belayed thin twin ropes without issue with one.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Smooth yet grippy. Rope moves thru easily yet when braking the "teeth" give just a bit of extra tension. Love it. Highly recommend it.
