Rated 5 von 5 von Edward aus Great climbing pack I was very impressed with this pack. I love the size and the narrow profile which allows my arms to move freely when I'm scrambling up to the base of a climb or when topping off. I like the size zipper that let's me access all my gear at once. The outer side is very rugged and I use it as a sitting pad when empty. the only thing I've had a minor issue is where the hip belt sits on my body. I ordered the M/L and it still sits a bit high with both shoulder straps on tight. I couldn't be happier with the pack. I have packed it with a 60m rope, two harnesses, dozen quick draws, several slings, a static rope, two helmets and two pairs of shoes and food/snacks.
Rated 5 von 5 von Dallen aus Stone 45 Pack Awesome This is a great pack I love the suspension on this pack... (I wish BD would make more of their packs with this suspension!!!) The pack carries really well. I carry a full trad rack, 70 m rope, harness, helmet, along with clothes, and food ( all in the pack) for the day. Everything fits great. I like the long side zip that is a size 10ish zip for access down in the pack when you need to get something out of the bottom without unloading the whole pack. Fabric is durable but I have only been using it for a month so I can't attest to long term durability. This pack is exactly what I was looking for for a cragging pack and there is a good chance I am going to carry it into the alpine because of the features. I really like this pack.
Rated 5 von 5 von Creek Freak aus Work Horse This is a fantastic "large rack" pack. I live in Moab and climb in the Creek full time. I carry a triple rack, 80m cord, dog waters, my own water, and often a drill and kit. A big and heavy load for sure. The pack carries really comfortable! I am 5'11', I use the M/L and its perfect. I also am on my third Creek 50 pack and since I have gotten the Stone 45, the Creek 50 often sits in the Garage. A few things I really like about the pack besides its comfort: When its loaded, and I am hiking up hill and look up at the cliff, my head is not constricted from the top of the pack. Another thing is that you can buy it in a "nickel" color. I never understood why the Creek 50 only comes in black? It is the desert and is hot as (you know) out there. Thank you BD for this awesome pack. Don't change a thing!
Rated 5 von 5 von Mitchell aus Solid Pack! I've used this pack 3 times now for climbing and lightweight trekking and love it so far. Everything on the pack is simple and has a purpose. Although not as light as some of the other packs built more for overnight trips, I am glad that I went with the heavier material. It seems super durable and I am hard on packs when climbing and exploring new rock. I wouldn't hesitate to take this pack into a slot canyon where abrasion is unavoidable. The full-length zipper is key. Like I said above, solid pack!
Rated 5 von 5 von Kent the destroyer aus First BD pack This pack is awesome. It's the first pack that I've owned where the chest strap doesn't compress my chest when huffing and puffing while gaining altitude or while moving fast over uneven terrain. i love the sleek design, I've never been a fan of exterior pockets and was one of the reasons that I originally purchased this pack. I was able to pack a 70m rope, quickdraws and a light rack, 48 and 36 oz water bottles, rain jacket & sandals plus a thick fleece pullover all inside the main compartment plus plenty of room for a first aid kit, food and room for my keys and wallet in the hood pocket. Rides well on the hips, light on the shoulders, tight to the torso while scrambling and feels great for long hike.
Rated 5 von 5 von Indoor Outdoor Cat aus Perfect After suffering through seasons at the New River Gorge and various other side trips out West with various hiking packs I finally picked up the Stone 45. It is EVERYTHING I need in a crag pack. There's a convenient slot for a water system, a front zipper that lets you go full yard sale mode in seconds, and various straps all over for hanging shoes, packing a rope up top, or whatever else you need to quickly attach. There are wonderful handles on the front and back at the top of the pack so you can pick it up easily when fully loaded. One of the best features I was not aware of before receiving the bag is the BRIGHT blue interior! I was worried selecting a black bag would mean resigning myself to a "black hole" but I can find everything easily. I am only 5' 2" with a short torso so finding a crag pack that's comfortable and fits me well on ALL manner of approaches is a huge challenge. This bag is great and sits on my hips right where it should. The hip straps are conveniently designed so that the excess strap is not flapping in the wind either. The whole design is just totally sleek and easy to move with. The back is padded so that even on a brutal uphill hike at the Creek I was never uncomfortable. The top of the bag loads and ties down nicely so that on a decent into The Gorge via ladder or steep trail I don't feel top heavy or have the tendency to pitch forward. It fits easily in an overhead bin on a plane even when fully loaded and Southwest won't give you grief for not checking it. 10/10 and I couldn't be happier....unless you can figure out how to include a feature that helps me send with greater frequency.
Rated 4 von 5 von jimmy aus Side Zipper Love the side zipper. Accessing stuff for climbing at the crag is a sinch, but carrys like a back pack.
Rated 5 von 5 von Kailey aus Awesome pack This pack is a perfect in between pack. I love the design/ My favorite part is the zipper than opens down the length of the backpack so everything is easily accessible. The only thing that could be improved are the comfort of the straps and back pads. Was hoping to use this for longer backpacking trips, but the comfort just isn't there. But, for a crag pack this is the way to go!
