Rated 5 out of 5 by Daniel from Tough and Trusted I bought these for a good all around glove, from scraping of the car to Alpine Climbs. My expectations were a reliable back pocket glove to have around for cold weather, skiing and mountaineering in Colorado. I threw them in my kit for Denali thinking I'd love them on the lower mountain and decent clear days. I wore them the whole time. Base camp to summit. I couldn't have been more surprised in the dexterity, reliability, warmth, and protection I stretched out of this glove. Easy to get a liner in and out when conditions were rapidly changing, and dexterous enough for working Carabiners regardless of conditions. I still grab them when I just need to scrape off the car, but they're also on every gear list I can put them on. Solid work Guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deborah from Incredible. I'm buying more just incase they stop making them. I've used these gloves for a season and a half of skiing in the Canadian Rockies and they've turned into my favourite glove. I find them warmer on cold days then my big BD gloves. Yesterday I wore them skiing in -27C weather and I didn't feel the cold until the sun went down. I used to get cold hands all them time; no more, hooray! I bought the men's as I find the length fits better, but they are a touch wide. That doesn't seem to impact the warmth factor at all, so I will continue to buy the mens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JMRG from Last season I used the spark mitts. I have always loved my Chamonix bin men gloves which are cheap and very durable being leather. Last season I used the Black Diamond Spark Mitts for a bit of extra warmth and absolutely love them. This season I’m going to give the Black Diamond Spark Gloves a chance to replace my current gloves. I’m very hopeful as the Spark Mitt exceeded my expectations, being waterproof and showing no signs of wear even after a season of hand dragging on artificial snow!!! Bring on the winter!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by robert from Awesome Dexterity - not super warm These gloves have the best dexterity of any leather glove I've owned from BD or other companies. I just ordered a pair of Legends and the Spark has much better dexterity (but isn't rated for as cold of temps). My hands get cold in them if it is in the low teens or single digits and I start wishing I had my thicker Guide gloves. But the dexterity is so awesome that I usually pick these gloves and suck up the cold. The dexterity is so good that I even use them for my cold winter mtb riding gloves. MTB gloves have to fit amazing or riding sucks. These work insanely well. Looks funny with my big red boxing gloves on my mountain bike. I have blown through the stitching on some of the seams and have sewn them. The Velcro has worn out on the cuff. That is why I had to take away a star. They have held up much better than an old pair of Patrol gloves I had, but not as well as the Guide gloves. Dexterity is better than both. I'm ordering a 2nd pair today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrissy from Womans Spark gloves Purchased a pair of Womans Spark gloves for myself. After skiing in them several times; I purchased a pair of Men's Spark gloves for my husband. These are perfect in Colorado snow conditions. Not big or bulky, no issues with cold hands or fingers. No wind penetration like in other gloves! Best leather ski gloves I have found. Extremely pleased with Black Diamond Spark gloves! Would purchase again. It would be nice if they had wrist cuff leashes included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Riff from Good materials/construction, runs a little large I liked these gloves, but the Medium was a fair bit bigger than other BD gloves I have in the same size. Good design though, good materials and overall a fine glove.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Nick from Not warm at all I wore these gloves in mildly cold temperatures, i.e. ~ 5 degrees Celsius, within the city (so no extreme environments and no rain at all). Despite this, the gloves completely failed to keep my hands warm, which was literally the one thing I needed them to do. The advertised dexterity doesn't do much if your fingers are freezing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scott from very comfortable, warm Got a pair of the Spark gloves to work in (patrol). I was concerned that these gloves might be a bit slick as in not that grippy at first but within a couple days they broke in and are much better. Put a dose of sno seal which helped w/ grip. Haven't had them very long but confident in the durability as most BD products seem to take the beating and hold up.
