First Light Jacket - Past Season is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mountain and casual wear Was looking for multi-purpose insulated jacket and this hit the jackpot. While the insulation is bit on the lighter side vs goose down, with a solid windbreaker and couple wool layers, it does the trick. Was at Stowe this past weekend in zero degree weather and with that set of layers, stayed warm enough to only head in for lunch break. For casual street wear, it looks great, I would say it runs a touch long (I'm 5'11" / 190 and bought a large). If you don't mind layering up, its hold up in cold weather, otherwise, I'd recommend goose down in temps below 25-30. I watched my son's lax game last nite in 32 degree weather and was bit chilly, however that is standing still and with only one long sleeve shirt underneath. All in all, a solid, practical and stylish jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I use this as a layer under a ski parka on cold days and as a general around town jacket. It's perfect for what I need. It has a nice trim fit. I'm 5'9" 165 lbs and the medium fits fine although It's a little tight if I try to put it over a bulky sweater or fleece. It's not warm enough as a stand alone jacket cold winter days, but it does fine as part of a system or in moderate winter weather. The stitching and material are just different enough from the scores of other down or synthetic jackets out there that it looks cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Form-fitting Warm Light I got the last years model at a discounted price and would have given it 4.5 if possible - because it is too tight around the waist and that could be easily fixed by having adjustable pull cords instead. Otherwise, it is perfect. It can be worn inside a chilly house, as the outer layer in a 0C/32F run/hike/tour, and a mid layer in colder temperature. I would wear it as the only layer when warm and snowing lightly for under an hour but as an inner layer if the duration is longer/snow is wetter. I would buy another if I could - it's very good. I do not know how durable the material is - I've had it only for 2 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for casual or adventure! I have both the hooded and hoodless versions. Both keep me extremely warm for how light it is. I am 5'11" 165lbs and the medium fits perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm but not too warm I bought this as a layering piece for spring ski season. I'm 5 11 and 160 lbs and the medium fits well. Length is great and arms are not bulky, it layers well with my ski shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Jacket Good jacket for the price. Keeps you warm well down in the 20s and isn't bulky. I've worn it under a thin shell snowboarding in the single digits and it preformed well. I'm 5'11" and a large fits with enough room to layer a flannel or light sweatshirt underneath.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It does not stretch! The jacket is advertised as "stretchy", but there is a catch. Yes, an outer layer does stretch a little, but a liner does not stretch at all. I wear all clothes in medium size and this jacket was tight in shoulders. Overall it seems decently warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely solid jacket I've had this jacket for two weeks and have worn it every day. It is stylish and has a comfortable slim fit when sized correctly. I've used it as a mid layer for downhill skiing (had me too warm by midday) and as an outer layer in moderate snow while cross country skiing. Despite the snow and my sweat saturating this jacket, I never got cold or too warm with only a smartwool crew under it in 20 degree weather. This jacket is highly breathable, more affordable than other synthetics of similar quality, and will continue to be a workhorse for me. I can't wait to see what other abuse I can put it through
