Liquid Point Shell is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought this a month ago and so far have used it for show shoeing trips and a week of resort skiing with 2 layers underneath. Good wind and snow resistance although I haven't used it in rainy conditions yet. The fit is large. I ordered the medium. I am a medium size in almost everything I buy but this jacket is on the large side even with a couple of layers. I am 5"11" and 175lb and I would consider a small if I was buying it again although I'm very happy with what I've got. I had trouble finding this jacket in stores in Calgary to be able to try one on and I bought it online. Overall very impressed and would definitely buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I say, Buy it! I bought this jacket a month ago because my old shell finally gave up. I wore it for a weeklong professional climbing instructor class in the rainy southeast. It rained for 5/5 days. The jacket performed perfectly. It's D.R.Y., comfortable and it fits great over base layers, a harness, and gear. It packs away nicely, too. Pit Zips are a little stubborn. I would like to have a breast pocket on the inside. Big front pockets, perfect for your hands. Holds my cell in there without spilling it out. Hood works really well with a brain bucket. For the price, this jacket is impossible to beat. Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Shell - Excellent Construction I'm 6'2" 185lbs, and ordered a medium. The fit is excellent. It's roomy enough to add my mid-layer jacket but trim enough to still look nice. As mentioned in other reviews, the lack of a chest pocket isn't ideal, but rest of the jacket is 10/10. Specifally, I've never seen seam taping a jacket quite like this. It's flawless. As for the waterproofing, we've been camping through Colorado for the last month, and dealt with several extended rain storms. No leaks whatsoever. My only compliant about the jacket is that the zipper is hard to get started. I'm pretty sure that it's just some sort of burr in the zipper on my particular jacket, but the jacket is built well enough (and I like it) that I don't plan to go through the hassel of exchanging it. I opted for the light grey version (Nickel). I love the color, but it does show dirt a little easier than black. Overall, I give the jacket a 9/10. Almost perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid! Love this jacket...I know the cost issues around building this product having done it myself for other brands.....but it needs a chest pocket ideally. And the lower hand pockets are a bit low and need some depth themselves so you don’t drop stuff out of them. Fantastic for the money. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid At 6' and 170 lbs the size large is slightly roomy with a single layer, fully layered up it's just right. Having a broader back and shoulders the fit is good and not tight. A price well over 30 percent less than my other shell jacket combined with the superior BD customer service makes it a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Paclite option out there! I've owned Lightweight shells like this from many different manufacturers - for the price, the BD Liquid Point is the best option out there. I purchased this shell to wear under my patrol vest. In the month I've owned it, I've worked in everything from an all day drizzle, to sunny days in the teens! It's kept me dry, warm, and comfortable, during my shifts. Two nice large zipped hand pockets, and a hood that actually fits over a ski helmet. For reference, I am 5'11", 175, and went with a Medium. There is still plenty of room to wear a fleece mid layer, or UL down jacket when the temps drop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spare but good Does what it says. Nice, light, minimalist shell. I know there are tradeoffs with weight, but I do wish it had a small chest pocket for chapstick, a map, etc., and an inside pocket big enough to throw skins or a hat/gloves in. Handwarmer pockets are nicely sized. Otherwise, fits me perfectly and seems solid (I'm 5'11"/177 lbs., size large). As with most jackets, it's difficult to impossible to do the pit zips without assistance. I had a hard time zippering the main zipper, but it was super cold then and might have been my fingers. Haven't had an issue in more sane temperatures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Material is superb. If you are concerned with weight, then Paclite is the material for you. It is waterproof and breathable while keeping weight down. I like the deep chest pockets, even though they do add to the weight of the jacket, but not deal breaker if you are using this in damp, and cold. The pit zips are huge and allow for significant ventilation when needed. The sleeves are wide as well and you can bunch the sleeves up to allow for more air flow as the temps climb, or cinch them down when temps dip. The jacket has a helmet compatible hood with a slightly stiffened peak and plenty of adjustment. I have worn this jacket is awful conditions and have always stayed dried. I like it so much, I wear it around town as well.
