Rated 5 out of 5 by Kasper from To all whose baskets are falling off... You need to screw the baskets entirely on - past the screwing part. This will make them stay on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ya Boi from Baskets Stay On When You Put Them On Properly I have had these poles for about 2 years now and love them! I've probably put almost 20 tours on them and have never encountered the basket problem so far, so mentioned in other reviews. I will say that the baskets can be tricky to put on but once threaded on and locked, I have never had the baskets fall off on me. I stand behind BD and all of their products 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thom from Great for all seasons! I have been skiing for a long time and these are hands down my favorite poles so far. They fit in my pack when fully collapsed and they are very sturdy. Some people have complained about the powder baskets but I have not had any issue with them. In the beginning of the season, I ski the ice and crud of the midwest and they're holding up great. Not the lightest but totally worth the extra ounces for their packability. The only issue I've had is when using them to push down the heel piece on my alpine bindings. The FlickLocks do not seem to be able to hold the pressure I put on them when doing that but other than that I have had no trouble. I would definitely recommend them if you're not worried about weight. They also perform great for trekking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hope from Classic 3 section poles, keep getting improved I've owned 3 sets of these over the last 20 years and these are the best yet. New foam grips drop weight, these are only a few grams more than some of my trekking only poles but are full on alpine / mountain strength. Love these for everything. Don't bother with the Z style / compactor unless the extra few inches when broken down is crucial, these are much more solid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Snowlovingoddess from Light weight & compact! I love how light weight and compact these poles are. They are easy to extend and collapse, and the locking mechanisms hold them in place at the desired height. The baskets are a bit tricky- they don't screw on via a thread pattern. They seem to only be pushed on firmly. The first use I apparently did not get them on all the way and nearly lost the basket. After an adjustment they have stayed on for two days of use so far- one day in deep powder and one day in smooshy heavy snow & compact groomers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Har Rai from Very solid and trustworthy, could deploy faster. These are super bomber, relatively compact, and it's handy that they interface with the BD saw. The only thing that would really set these over the top is if they were quicker to deploy while still being as strong and trustworthy as they are. You have to look at the measurements on both sections as you're setting the length to get them to the matching lengths that you want. I would much prefer setting the length on one section and then just being able to fully deploy the second section with some kind of hard stop. Maybe even if both sections had a hard stop so that you could easily and quickly set them up to their maximum length—I'd trade the BD saw interface for that, personally. Other than the extra 15 seconds, you can't go wrong with these especially for long trips where you need bomber reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve from Multiple use with all the needed bells and whistle I received them last week and found the perfect for patrolling and skinning up the mountain. Let’s start from handle down. The straps adjust easily and when skinning I wear a light glove and when patrolling downhill I wear bulky mittens. The grips are perfect no matter what is on my hands. The height adjustment is durable and the numbers make adjustments a snap. The powder baskets are perfect but if you were always on piste the small baskets would be nice. The tips are perfect for New England ice. The short packing length is perfect for travel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shane from Awful Basket System These poles could be five stars if they could just hold onto the baskets. Such a basic principal yet BD hasn't able to figure that out. I understand that baskets fall of every so often but this is ridiculous. While touring I'm constantly checking to see if they are still attached. I've had times where they fall off 4 times within an hour. It's extremely frustrating. I'm going to try to epoxy the baskets on. If that doesn't work I'm going to look for a better pair.
