Fixed Length Carbon Ski Poles is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favorite poles I now have two sets of these poles and all of my previous poles are sidelined! In my opinion this product offers several fab features: Great ergo grips. Comfortable, easy to use straps. Lightness. Quick-change spin off/on baskets. Kevlar protection on lower section of the shaft which keeps edge cut damage to a minimum. The newer pair also have a tacky (like NOT cheezy) grip section just below the grip handles. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great simple pole, perfect for ECT's, and stupid durable I've used this pole as 20 yr professional ski guide internationally for a long time...until last week. Best features- smooth shaft, so I pop off the basket and use to probe for weaknesses in the top metre constantly, (like I've got a nervous twitch#. It's perfect for ECT's as a second probe after pulling the basket because there are no clamps on the shaft to hank up the cord. Sure they don't adjust but after having adjustable poles for the 1st decade that I never changed the length of, I thought it might be ok. I finally snapped the end off in Verbier last week descending a bounder field with lots of fresh snow and no base - broke maybe 30 cms from tip. Never even knew it happened until I stopped. Then I started figuring out when I bought these things and realized it was 2006...ten yrs ago! Considering I do back to back seasons, that's awesome. The life of these will depend on how much of a hack you are with your ski edge into the poles. Obviously the more you hit them, or the harder, #or both) the less life they will have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice poles although I did break a pair i bought these as my second pair after having had a skier cut in front of me (in bounds) and snap off the tip of my other BD fixed length carbon poles. Other than that incident, these are light, nice feeling, overall great ski poles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pole with good swing weight and feel. I ski these poles on the resort with the occasional side country jaunt. I like the grips, and the straps. The swing weight is right on..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Swing Weight of any pole I have skied with! I bought the first generation carbon fiber BD ski poles but my wife "stole" them from me. Yes, if you are frequently changing the lengths, then the flic-lock adjustables are the way to go, but these are fixed length, light weight and now after purchasing the second generation white ones with the "gold ring" around the upper shaft, I covet these even more! A great ski pole!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fixed Length Carbon Poles Look great...I love the grip style which was a big factor in buying these along with the light weight/carbon. Swing weight seems nice. Will have to wait until ski season to know more. Picky about my poles after 40+ years as instructor. 110cm --poles measure a bit shorter than my other 110cm poles. So will have to see if that is a factor in how they work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and Strong I broke the lighter ones during a high speed crash so bought these as they seem stronger. So far I'm very pleased with them.
