I don't know how they will fare in a really *wet* snowfall, but they were VERY warm while I was out for several hours at ~18 degrees and powdery snowfall. I definitely think they would be fine at a lot colder temps. Note that mine actually ran a little small, as compared to what I was led to believe by the size chart. And, in particular, the opening at the wrist seemed quite tight (not cut-off circulation tight, but just a little hard to get my lined hand in there). That said, those cuffs sure did keep the wind out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ced314 from Super warm and light weight I was specifically looking for mitts to go running during the winter when temperatures got very cold. So far I have run with the mitts in temperatures down to -18 Celsius (0 Fahrenheit) and my hands stayed very warm. I also used them just to walk around town down to -24 Celsius. Definitely very happy so far. I would be very cautious about using them for any activity where abrasion could be an issue as they have very little reinforcement but this is exactly what makes them so light and comfortable for running!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tina from Decent mitten I purchased these after purchasing and really looking the stance gloves. The mittens are good, warm without being too warm or bulky. I used them in negative temperatures snowshoeing a lot this winter. The only thing that could be improved is the cuff. The elastic cuff is just a little too snug for these mittens to slide on and off early.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ward from weigh nothing warmth! My go to for cold belays when climbing or winter camping hanging out after dark. They can go over an un-insulated liner glove and warmth is incredible. Won't last long if your doing work in them but for keeping warm they're great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by mtndrew from Warm and lightweight I've used these mittens in 10-20 F windy conditions and they've kept my hands toasty. Medium fit perfectly AFTER I got my hands through the tight cuffs, so I had to exchange for a large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DanFF from It does what it says on the label! Sizing is accurate, and well made as you would expect. Yet to be used in anger, but based on experience of materials will perform well as back up mitts for Scottish winter, especially owing to small pack size. In my mind not a primary pair of mitts as, despite leather reinforcements, lighweight construction will suffer from long term abuse. But having said that you still know that you want a pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ireyeyes from Used for ski camping with an elephant's foot bag I purchased these mainly to sit in my pack for emergency use on backcountry ski day trips. I also used them in conjunction with an elephant's foot sleeping bag and a parka for snowcave sleeping recently. So far, they are just what I was looking for: light, super warm, don't take up much pack space.
