Rated 4 out of 5 by Hollace from Great All Around Workhorse Shell Bought this shell for both severe weather backcountry skiing and fishing adventures. Just came back from fishing in Alaska and the shell performed just as expected. I was warm and dry in high wind/heavy rain conditions with a light puffy underneath. Hood was snugg and stayed in place with just my baseball cap underneath. I specifically ordered this jacket because of all the pockets. The chest and arm pockets were a bit snug with my puffy underneath. The fabric is thick, yet not stiff or noisy. Fit was OK, except the bottom is a bit snug for my wide hips. Also would have liked a 2 way main front zipper. I hope to get the same performance this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clydesdale from Home Run So impressed with this coat Allows you to be an athlete if that makes any sense...doesn't slow you down or limit what you can do. It is also very tough material. The coat can take a hit from some fairly stout tree branches when skiing the trees. I have used it for Resort, Snow Cat, and Backcountry skiing...easy to layer up or down and the venting works great. Also, if you don't like wearing masks or anything like that on your face, the collar is stiff enough to act like a shield when it's really dumping/pelting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Debra from Over all great jacket Over all I like this jacket and its relaxed fit. I'm 5'5" 130# and ordered the size small. I like to add whatever technical layers under my jacket for the day (including a nano puffy if needed) and still have room to move my arms & body without extra fabric getting in the way or friction to hinder my movement. A medium would have been too big for this jacket but in other brands that are not labeled "relaxed fit" I always have to order a medium. The bell shaped cuffs I did not like at first but now love them. You can easily pull the cuffs over your gloves & mittens to keep snow out & warmth in. The length of the jacket also keeps gusty winds out and warmth in. Riding the chair lifts also proves comfy with its length. My only complaint is that at the top of the jackets zipper there is a hard/rough spot under the soft fabric from where the zipper ends and this rubs again my chin/lip when zipped all the way up. They did a good job adding the soft fabric on the inside of the jacket at the top of the zipper so that it is soft against your skin while zipped all the way up. However the hard plastic of the end of the zipper underneath this fabric rubs heavily against my face and I'll have to figure something out to prevent it rubbing against my face & cutting my skin from constant rubbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fany from Perfect jacket for backcountry This jacket is amazing. The material is great and the interior is soft and comfy. I use it every time I go snowboarding or on a backcountry adventure. I am 5”2 and weight 120lbs. I bought a size M because I wanted space to wear a down jacket under and a bunch of layers and it works perfectly. My only wish would be that the jacket is a little longer to cover my bum as I snowboard and sometimes need to sit down to attach my bindings and like the extra coverage when I am on a chair lift.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jennifer from Great Jacket, Tight at Hips This is a great jacket, but I wish that the cut was more accommodating for women's hips. I wear a size 6 pants, and the medium jacket fits perfectly everywhere except it is tight at my hips. The large is way too big otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate from Fantastic Shell I love this shell. It's light weight, great in the snow or cold rain. I especially like the pocket on the sleeve and helmet compatible hood for days on the slopes. Size wise, I am short so traded my usual size S for a M because the S was a little snug on my hips(fell below the widest part of my hip which it might not on a taller person.) Overall, the M is a looser fit but still looks nice and I am really pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sophia from Like skiing in a drysuit - in a good way Pulled it out of my closet yesterday in preparation for this year's ski season and remembered that I was meaning to review it. This shell is awesome in every way. It's the most waterproof jacket I've ever owned and has kept me dry in downpours, blizzards, and when I fell into a semi-frozen pond during some sketchy spring skiing. Also wind? What wind? There is no wind while wearing this shell. The pit zips are clutch because it gets toasty in here. That being said, the jacket breathes excellently. As far as the sizing goes, I thought it was perfect - roomy enough to wear over a puffy but enough adjustment points to cinch it down on warmer days. The sleeves are long which is great for tall women like myself with long arms (I'm 6' tall so many jackets are short for me, I didn't have this problem with the MIssion in size XL). All things considered, I would call this the perfect shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily from Best coat I've ever owned I ordered this shell to hold up in the rain, snow, and wind of the Pacific Northwest, and I am not disappointed. This coat keeps me dry, warm, and comfortable for long days skiing and in the elements. I've worn it almost every day since purchase, and couldn't be happier with my choice. The sizing is right on as well. I am 5'6", 150lbs, athletic/curvy and the medium fits great, with room for layering. The powder skirt does its job well, and the hood fits comfortably and well over my helmet. There is great variety in the pockets and their placement is spot on. The coat is of excellent quality. The style and color make you feel goooood. I recommend this coat for ladies who are going to spend some long days out there! If it can do well on a rainy snowy pass in Washington, I imagine it will do well in many places!
