Sharp End Shell - Women's is rated out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by jbfraser from Outstanding This jacket is amazing. I also have the Sharp End Shell Pants. They've trekked to Everest Basecamp, circumnavigated Iceland, weeks in the rain in Ireland, driving winds and rain in Patagonia.....I stay dry as a bone every time. I'm a landscape photographer so I'm always dragging myself and lots of heavy photography equipment over rocks and scooting on my rear down banks and plowing through briars. Not a single snag. I'm frequently out in the elements for hours - often waiting on driving rain to pass - dry as a bone. I live in two locations and these two are so good, i'm actually forking the bucks out to have another jacket/pants set at my other location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KateS from Solid Jacket 5'6, slim build, bought an XS. Fits perfectly. Pros: roomy sleeves allow down jackets to maintain their loft when worn underneath, cut is flattering and practical, hood fits well over a helmet, longer length in body means you stay covered with arms lifted. Unlike other shells, the zipper is not prone to sticking. Love the colour (amethyst). Cons: mine is an older model which does not have a chest pocket or an interior pocket. At the time this didn't seem like a big deal, but the loss of functionality in the field is really noticeable and this jacket is now only worn for commuting. I wish I had waited a year or two to buy one! Mesh in the pit zip area would be a nice add in future models, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DGFF from Fab Jacket Really great jacket! A good answer to some other top end brands, with a lot more bang for your buck. Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sophie from Good jacket, but does not last; Not worted It used to be a great jacket until it reached 2 years old. After that, the layers started to un fold. After 4 years, where the fabric un folded, it lost his waterproofness and most of the zipper head broke. I thought that a GoreTex Pro fabric was necessarily life warrantied... Make sure to return it before you reach your 3 years warranty offered by BD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rachel from A well built jacket but a little short for skiing I brought this as a replacement shell for my backcountry jacket. The fit is really nice and it feels well made. However the jacket fits quite short if you are considering using it for skiing and riding and with no snow skirt it would funnel the snow up there. I think it would be great for other alpine sports, but not ones with

Rated 4 out of 5 by None from Great jacket a little tight in the hips. I love the jacket but I think it would be nice if there was more room in the hips. It is nice that the jacket is long but it needs more shape. It might also be nice if it had a double zipper so that it could zip up to accommodate wider hips. I love the material. I bought the pants last year and they still look brand new. I am very hard on my equipment/clothing and my black diamond skis are the reason I gave the clothing a chance. So far I am very happy with my purchases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mollysharpharrison from Great fit and function! The Sharp End is the perfect shell for backcountry ski touring and ice climbing. I love how long the sleeves are and while the overall shape is fairly trim, I can fit many layers under it. I'm also very happy with the pit zips, they make this a great active layer.
