DescriptionThe Black Diamond ReVolt is a powerful, versatile and rechargeable headlamp that has now been fully redesigned to be completely waterproof, making it adaptable for any nighttime mission. With 300 lumens of power, the ReVolt easily spots anchors while you rappel in the dark, proximity lighting gives you a large area of light for hiking down the trail and Brightness Memory gives you the option to set the light's brightness when first turned on. A three-level power meter keeps you from ever being surprised by dead batteries, and the ReVolt can run on standard AAA batteries in addition to the included rechargeable batteries.
- One TriplePower LED and 1 DoublePower LED can combine to emit up to 300 lumens (max setting with alkaline batteries)
- One DoublePower Red LED for night vision has proximity and strobe settings, and activates without cycling through the white mode
- Sleek, low-profile design uses three Black Diamond AAA Rechargeable Batteries or standard alkaline or lithium batteries
- Brightness Memory allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to full power
- Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red night-vision and lock mode
- Three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for three seconds after switching on headlamp
- IPX8: Waterproof-Tested to operate up to 1.1 meters underwater for 30 minutes. If submerged, water may enter the battery compartment and it will still operate, and it should be dried out completely afterwards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Keith B from Great Headlamp; Very Confusing Features I've had this headlamp for about a year now. I wanted a headlamp to keep in my pack for when I travel - and I don't want to worry about dead batteries. First impressions: I went forever without recharging this. I've used it biking at night, hiking, stumbling around hotels during blackouts overseas, and for finding the trail again after climbs-turned-epics... The features (locking, red-light, strobe, ect..) are really great. I have everything I need - however, it still takes me fumbling around to get the right one. I think an addition button may have been easier than having to remember which morse-code pattern gets me to the feature I like.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JKrav from Failed 3x+ I bought this about a year ago and I have to say I would not have purchased this or recommend it. First of all... If it gets anywhere near 32F, this light will shutdown. It shutdown on me on a 35-40F night. Secondly, when using the NiMH batteries, you gett literally 1/5 the claimed runtime and output. (30hrs @300lumen vs. 6hrs @175 lumen... What a joke!) Finally, this faulty light kept failing on me night after night. Whether it was the bad battery or light draining my batteries spontaneously or turning off when it got cold.... U name it. You can't trust this light in your gear quiver, cause most of the time it turns into a heavy paperweight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jeremy from Good lamp, not so good batteries. Overall, I like this headlamp. It's bright and has endured many a cold and wet night without any problems. The only issue I have; the batteries. After one year, they no longer keep a charge for very long. After a full charge, the lamp will be fine for about 20 minutes before the red flasher (to show low battery) goes on and the light drops significantly. It will continue to function for hours but has a greatly reduced range from that point on. I replaced the included BD batteries with some high quality replacements, but wouldn't you know it? They can't be charged in the lamp, which is a bit of a disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott from Super Bright, Fits Just Right! I bought the ReVolt headlamp based on others' reported experiences with Black Diamond equipment, and the excellent reputation of Black Diamond expedition gear in general. I was especially concerned about the length of the head band, as I have a size 8 head, and suffer headaches when wearing hats that are snug-fitting. However, the wide adjustability of the head band affords me a comfortable fit, even when wearing the ReVolt for extended lengths of time. As for the lighting system, it is simply brilliant! Literally AND figuratively! The many features include a wide array of intensity settings and simple operation. Being able to use either rechargeable or single-use batteries adds to the versatility of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hardrock from Great headlamp I bought a revolt 5 years ago and it still works great. I have hiked over 1,500 miles with this light in my pack and it has worked every time I pulled it out. I am still using the original rechargeable batteries that came with the headset. I just had to post after reading the negative reviews about this light and company. I am still using a diamond daypack and Z trekking poles that I bought at the same time. The older revolt is not waterproof but water has never been a problem. Still I plan to buy the newer model as it is waterproof and the other options added make it a better light than the older model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by WyeRiver from Good price, like the recharge, but quality lacking I like this flashlight, but I will say that the charging cover on the flashlight doesn't really fit very easily back into the charging hole without a lot of fussing. The flashlight works great and battery seems to be good, but I will say that the fact the charging cover doesn't stay shut very well is a littler concerning. I'm not sure how this is going to hold up over time and potentially impact the waterproofing ability. I also think this could be designed so that the batteries charged faster. I used the flashlight for about a straight hour and when i charged it it took roughly 2 hours to complete a charging cycle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by snooker from Flexibility of charging or Alkalines for more Pwr Very flexible to simply plug in standard micro USB charger, or for more power (more light intensity) use Alkaline AAA's. The battery level indicator turns red way too quickly even though it has hours of use left. I will use it at home, camping, and on motorcycle month long travel trips where I can charge it on the bike or motel. One problem is that the housing has no padding on it, and digs into your forehead badly even in an hour, even if the strap is not very tight. See pic. My solution was to cut my own self-adhesive padding to fit, and it works great. If you want to do this, look on amazon for "self-stick grip pads", and see my pics below. It's easy to do with an Xacto knife or similar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jay something from Durable , flexible recharging options Not sure where all the , way to many complaints are coming from , I used this lamp and the Iota for 2 years now ! It can take some button pressing and reading to get the lights working but like one time ! I’ve been sleeping outdoors over 40 nights a year in snow rain sun sand dirt and whatever had no issues I even bout a second back up Revolt blue and orange and two Iotas ! I think it’s one of the best on the market and you have so many charging options why would you by a petzel ? This is such a sturdy and reliable lamp . High Five BD .... you can even use regular batteries or buy more BD revolt batteries or plug it in ...
