Legend Gloves is rated out of 5 by 24.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Jonathan from Warm and light weight I've been using the Guide gloves for years, and after testing the Legend I'd recommend sticking with the Guide. I wanted to try the lighter weight Legend glove to see if the dexterity was noticeably better and if it still offered adequate warmth. The Legend gloves do both, the dexterity is slightly better and they are plenty warm. However, the downsides for me are the fleece interior lining and the short cuff. The fleece lining pulls out from it's natural position and bunches up making it slow to align the next time you put it on. Also the longer cuff, on the guide and others, in my opinion is much easier to slide on and create a solid snow barrier quickly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bramski from Like a marshmallow on your hand I'd owned 2 pairs of the predecessor to this glove, the Rambla. I work as an avalanche professional in British Columbia. So naturally when I wore holes in the leather of the Ramblas I bought two years ago I sought to replace them with this new version. The legend glove is almost identical except for the leather, which is far too soft for any serious backcountry user. Rather like a marshmallow in suppleness, it fails to actual be a working glove as the leather is so soft it sticks and doesn't have enough form of it's own to actual be an effective glove given the primaloft insulation behind the leather. Please use a leather with more form BD. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the prior leather you were using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Raindog from Sweet gloves Gloves are pretty awesome. Another reviewer wrote about them being "marshmallowy." I know what they mean, however, I like the gloves. They are comfy and I'm glad for the days I get to wear them. The leather is soft and pliable. Gloves are warm but, to be fair, not super warm. They wear like work gloves and if it is a crazy cold day I'm going to wear my mittens anyway. They would benefit from bigger cuffs because it is about impossible to keep the snow out -- depending on what you are doing that could matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonovision from Black Diamond Warranty is Amazing I bought these gloves for my ski season this year, generally put 25+ days in the Canadian Rockies, mostly resort with some back country and heli. A few observations, I think that -17/18 C rating is a bit of an exaggeration. Generally I found these gloves are good to about -12 C but that is generally a personal preference and maybe I am just being a bit of snowflake. In terms of the marshmallow effect that some others have commented on, I have experienced this, but I believe it is because water moves through the leather layer but is stopped by the Goretex insert from entering the glove. However in the process the insert swells up in the process. (My buddies were having a good laugh as I was wringing my gloves out each time we got on the helicopter, but water never made it through the goretex layer and I think you can prevent this with regular Nikwax treatments) The goat leather used on these gloves is pretty soft and you will have to be very careful around ski edges. Mine developed holes very easily, however I gave this glove a five star rating as BD warranty was absolutely amazing to work with. Overall I have never had a glove with better articulation, but just be careful with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott from Softest leather glove I’ve ever owned! The fitting on this glove is true to BD’s guide. The loft keeps this glove perfectly warm. The leather is very soft, which helps with dexterity and is super comfortable. Because the leather is so soft, this is not a great glove to test out on rock, rough surfaces, etc. And need to be careful around ski edges and stuff like that. But that’s the trade off between durability and dexterity. If you need a tougher glove for ice climbing, alpinism, ski mountaineering, etc. look to the Guide (super warm), Crew, or Patrol. Use the NikWax waterproof that comes with the glove - helps keep the soft, supple, and of course waterproof!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hugo from Great gloves, until... Was really great. Soft and warm. But the second time I wear them the inline flip inside out when I take them off. Barely impossible to put it back. Took me more than an hour... And since, they do it every time. Even if i'm carefull and my hands still dry. And don't even try to put those back if the glove is wet... . Really disapointed. Will need new ones cause thoses are useless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by paulus from Not meant to work with I am a snow scientist, my job involves mainly touring to study site, a lot of digging, and manipulating instruments. This is the second pair of Legend Gloves I've owned, and both started falling apart after 2 weeks of use. The leather layer is too thin, and it tears super easily. I guess they are fine if you are just using them for skiing, but as a professionnal, I expected more from them. This is sad, I kinda liked them though, just wish they were tougher ...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Matbouegois from Great glove, way too thin leather I loved these gloves. On the other hand when I got them I felt the leather was thin and hoped they would still last. I've used them only for downhill skiing maybe 30 half days and they are wearing out. I've had cheaper leather gloves that have lasted 3 seasons and they are in great shape.
