Description

The Storm375 is engineered for epics in all conditions, featuring a robust waterproof/dustproof housing and 375 lumens of bright light. With a new, compact body, the Storm375 is more ergonomic, and the updated user interface includes a secondary switch for easy mode selection. In addition, the updated optical efficiency not only provides brighter light, but also saves battery life that you can now easily track with a six-setting, three-LED battery meter. The Storm375 also has three different colored night vision modes and peripheral white lighting for close-range activities like carefully re-racking for the final summit pitch in the dark. The headlamp has our Brightness Memory feature, which allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to the default, full power setting. The Storm375’s PowerTap Technology enables you to quickly and easily access maximum brightness with the touch of a finger.

  • Brightness Memory allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to full power
  • Regulated for constant light output
  • Compact, low-profile design uses four AAA batteries
  • Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red, green and blue night-vision, and lock mode

BLACK DIAMOND PRESENTS: LIGHT UP THE SEND

Storm 375 Headlamp is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Amazing light until it decides to go dim I was loving the storm 375 for about a week. It was the only light I loved more than my Black Diamond Re-Volt. I selected the Storm for its crazy bright output and alleged 75 hour run time. None of those matter anymore because the light won’t stay at any brightness level for more than a few minutes before recording to the lowest setting. At first I thought it was bad batteries but after 3 sets of brand new premium brand batteries the thing has a mind of its own. I’m so disappointed in this lamp. I hope Black Diamond gets a fix ASAP. Read the reviews over at REI there is a long list of people with my same complaint. I’m amazed there isn’t one single negative review here at the manufacturers site.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flaw As with the other reviewer and others on REI's website, the light does not stay on bright. It will decide on its own to go completely dim, leaving you with a light that doesn't shine more than a foot in front of you if that. I went through 2 sets of batteries (one set came with it, one set I had bought recently) and both times it did this. The features of this light are great. The 2 button design is great. The memory feature of the last setting is a great feature too. Brightness is amazing and all lamps are just right. Fix this issue and this light would be my go to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from same issues, but it took about a month I thought I found the ideal lamp. Comfortable, bright, versatile. It took a while to get used to the one touch/swipe/super bright feature, but then I really enjoyed it. I love the functio switch as compared toone switch controlling all functions and dimming. After about 30-45 days of use, with batteries (supplied Duracell alkalines), the light went from my setting to ultra dim. I thought it was the batteries being depleted, but they were only at 50%. The next day, no problems for 10 minutes, then same thing. I did discover that green LED is great for dog walking, and no weird dimming issues. Definitely not happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light, people are using wrong batteries I've had this headlamp for around 6 months now and I love it. It seems that a lot of people are having problems with the headlamp going dim after a few hours. To these people I recommend using Lithium Batteries instead of Alkaline. Lithium can provide full current all the way to battery depletion. Great headlamp. I absolutely love the green nightvision mode. A lot of people I've been hiking with have bought the same one after seeing me with it and lending it to them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light but need good batteries I'v done some measurements: @6V, Power full here are the current measurements: Spot: 470mA Flood: 189mA Red: 79mA Green/Blue: 94mA Full power (both white leds): 680mA @6V, lowest power: Spot: 5,4mA Flood: 17mA Red: 21mA Green/Blue: 18mA Power reserve activates under 3,1V All the measurements are done with a bench power supply so that the results are not affected by the quality of some batteries. Reading the numbers means that an 800mAh NiMh rechargeable set will drain after 1h at full power. If the quality of the batteries are low then they will have a higher voltage drop for a higher current, resulting in activating the power saving mode. Recomendation is to use the highest quality of batteries (rechargeables) available. If quality is low avoid full power! This is the downside of using high power leds. (All other high power headlight use LiIon rechargeable batteries with high capacity >2000mAh)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great torch - but Powertap no longer works.. Got the previous Storm with 500 lumens late last year for my ultra paddle board race. 220km and the torch did its thing perfectly for the night slog in rain and morning fog. But just last week when I took it out of the bag to take it camping, I noticed that the Powertap sensor on the side no longer works. I use it sparingly, usually at its dimmest and only Powertap it when I need it on demand. But that's no longer working. Now I'm forced to use the dimmer mode with the cycle loop from the main top button and not getting much response even after mailing support with the problem I got. I hope warranty is as good as it says.. Barely a year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from storm 375 headlamp I bought this headlamp to increase the light levels when biking and trail running in recreation time through the winter months but primarily for work.I spend a lot of time in remote parts of the country in all weathers. All the good points around good design, construction don't really matter as I find the headlamp utterly useless. I've used it twice with good quality batteries and within 30-40 minutes on full beam it goes dim as the batteries have been drained of power. Its not cold at this time of year so its not that. The lamp just cant stay on full power for long using alkaline batteries. Its a big thumbs down from me and not something I can work around. It just doesnt work to a level I need it to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great All Around-er I have had several head lamps in the past and just picked up this new version of the Storm about a month ago. I am a Single Pitch Instructor and work outdoors in the early morning and late evenings often. I LOVE the features of this lamp such as the color options, flood light and beam light modes, the max power touch mode and the lock function. I thought these features would be gimmicks at fist, but have found them to be extremely useful in the backcountry. My only complaint is unremarkable head band and the weight and bulk of the lamp. Other than that, it's the best all around head lamp on the market. -CW
