Alpine Start Hoody - Women's est évalué de 5 de 8.
Rated 5 de 5 de kmcq par Durable, light, long-lasting I have had an Alpine Start Hoody for a few years now and am impressed with its durability and functionality. While a bit heavier than a Houdini, it is stretchier and more durable. I use it for both sun and wind protection, as well as skin protection in off-widths: I have had no issues with durability when stuffing my arms and torso into a crack while wearing it. It also doesn't smell as bad as other light-weight wind layers after repeated use. Easy to stuff into its chest pocket and stash on my harness. I have a bright green-yellow color and it cleans up well, and is just now starting to fade a bit. I'll certainly be investing in another of these when the time comes.

Rated 5 de 5 de Munke par Essential Adventure Suit Jacket I've now had this jacket for two and half years and it is an essential part of my year round adventure suit. I use it extensively in the winter for back country skiing, it's the perfect weight to put on top of a baselayer or fleece when the wind picks up. In the spring it's often the only shell necessary. I use it for should season climbing and have thrashed up many a chimney and off width in the jacket and it hasn't even snagged. What I like best is the high breathability (I tend to run warm and most hardshells make me feel like I'm in a tropical jungle) with enough wind blocking to cut mountain gusts. The fabric also stands up well abrasion and there is just enough stretch to prevent feeling bound up.

Rated 5 de 5 de SheriD par Fantastic wind proof jacket even in extreme cold. I purposely bought a size up, XL, because I wanted room to wear merino Baselayers and midlayer if needed in extreme cold temps with room in my shoulders and underarms for movement. Size is spot on. This jacket is a tall girls dream with a longer arm length and torso with the hem covering my hips. The hood stayed up and in place with a stiff N wind and I pushed it off on the return trip as I no longer needed the extra protection. It didn't flap around. The fabric is quite no swishing sound and 100% dry when Im done running. This is my 1st Black Diamond purchase and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend this wind shell. Oh and chest pocket fits I phone X with room to spare.

Rated 5 de 5 de Winterwoman par 5 stars aren't enough! I bought my Alpine Start Hoody 2 years ago, not sure whether I would like it or not. I got to first try it out on a week long trek and I was amazed by how such a lightweight hoody could cut wind completely, remain breathable and withstand all sorts of abrasion. I've worn it countless times since, trekking, climbing, mountaineering, running, skiing, you name it, and it never fails to perform perfectly in all conditions. Packable, lightweight, easy to care for, without a shadow of a doubt one of the best pieces of gear I've ever owned- will definitely repurchase once a nice, vibrant color is available.

Rated 5 de 5 de bv123 par Versatile, all seasons, lightweight When I invest in gear I want light weight and versatility. These are top specs for anything I add to my kit. This piece is amazing! I wear it mountain biking, road biking, touring, skiing, rock climbing, alpine pursuits, and even dog walks. This jacket is lightweight, durable, easy to wash, easy to pack, and is the perfect wind layer for all seasons. I love this jacket. When its time to get a new one, I would recommend the jacket over the hooded version- the hood is big (perfect for wearing with a helmet) but in windy conditions, itd be better as just a jacket.

Rated 5 de 5 de Jacnn8761 par Best piece of layering I own I bought this jacket on a recommendation from a friend and it's safe to say it's the best layer I own. It breathes incredibly well and blocks the wind, so during strenuous activity I don't feel like I am in a sweat box, as I have felt with other comparable layers. I hardly take it off, wearing it for ski mountaineering, biking, running and more. Would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Rated 5 de 5 de dreybeds par Ligthweight go-to for hiking Bought the Alpine Start hoody over a year ago and I use it for hiking as a lightweight wind breaker. Fabric is awesome: very strechy and light. Very packable so it's perfect to carry on day trips. Packs nicely in the chest pocket. It is not rain-proof though, which fine but good to know. True-to-size fit.
