Rope Comparison

Rope Comparison Chart

8.9 Dry est évalué 4.4 de 5 de 14.
Rated 4 de 5 de par Lightweight! I purchased this rope to replace my Beal 9.6 60m that didn’t have a dry treatment. So far it’s been wonderful and worth every penny. I reside in Yosemite National Park where climbs tend to require long rappelling or double rope rappelling so the ability to do that with one rope is priceless. One downside to this rope is how fast it feeds through Grigri 2 making it a little spicy. Handles well in all other devices so far (atc guide, petzl reverso , mammoth smart belay). Overall this rope is amazingly light and fast. Durability will be tested over the 2020 season as I climb at least 4 times a week, April to Octobe.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Fantastic Rope (minus the middle mark) Have had this rope for a little over a year now and have used it for single pitch and multipitch rock climbing, as well as ice climbing. The dry treatment is fantastic for ice climbing. The thin diameter and suppleness make for very nice handling and makes it much lighter than any other 70m rope I've used. The sheath is starting to see a little bit of wear now, but as I've always lived by, "tools, not jewels". Seems to be holding up as well as I'd expect for the amount of use it's had. The pink is positively neon out of the package and I love it! The middle mark is absolutely terrible... literally wore off completely with the very first climb (not first day of climbing... first climb).

Rated 4 de 5 de par Supple Rope, Terrible Middle Mark I bought this rope about a month ago and so far love the quality. I typically climb multi-pitch trad on various rocks in both alpine and sub-alpine environments. The middle mark of the rope wore off the very first day. I was disappointed in the marking and planning to mark the middle in a different way. The rope is very nice, supple, and light for being a single rated 70 m rope and I would still recommend it but definitely plan to mark the middle after one day of use.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect Rope! I bought this rope for high alpine ascents, and it surpassed my expectations. Its brighter than any rope I have ever had, and getting caught in a snow storm in the sawtooths high on a peak was the right place to have this rope. We could see the rope no problem, and it stayed dry in the snow storm. Its light enough, but not too light, thick enough to be a single rope but not too thick. PERFECT ROPE.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Rope Bought the 50m for alpine work and Top-Rope soloing. Stays dry (and thus light); and handles well. As noted above, the middle mark (which, when new, looks as if it's "welded" into the sheath) wore off very quickly once I started to use it on even hard sandstone. That's the only "semi-complaint" I have. So...if you're going off with a new rope an a big trip, I'd advise marking the middle some other way (tape, marker, whatever you chose) lest it wear off "on the mountain".

Rated 4 de 5 de par Excellent rope I bought this rope with the intention of using on high alpine peaks, because of the diameter and weight. I have used it for both single pitch and multi pitch climbing. It handles very well. The only problem is that the middle mark for the center of the rope wore off after a week of use.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great Alpine Rope Used this rope a few times on alpine endeavours. It’s is lightweight which makes it easier to haul into the backcountry. It’s nice and bright making it easy to see on runout ascents and rappels. The sheath is holding out pretty good, considering it’s size. Overall an excellent addition to the quiver.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great rope Overall is a great rope, great handling. Just a bit heavy if you decide to use it as twin or half and the middle mark definitely is an issue doesn't last more than 3 climbs
