Rated 4 de 5 de par Must Have! I really love these covered tips because of the traction they offer when crossing over streams, boulders or rocks. The grip they have gives me confidence to make a move confidently in the direction I'm heading. The only caveat is their durability because that wonderful covering wears out fairly quickly if you're hiking over a lot of rock.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Tips and grip I bought the poles mainly because they can be taken apart and will fit in my checked mid sized luggage when traveling abroad. TSA does not allow poles in carry on. I got the rubber tips which I think is a good opinion because they don't fall off. How ever I think if they were bigger and made of a softer rubber it would give better grip particularly on wet surfaces. Bottom line the tips are good if your trying to not scratch the rocks but if your are looking for good grip they preform poorly. I suggest adding a bigger tip option . Steve from Maine

Rated 3 de 5 de par For walking on pavement These do not provide enough "shock absorption" for pavement walking. I contacted customer service, and that department kindly provided tip "protectors" which are a larger rubber covering for these rubber tips. The combination works great for walking on pavement or hard surfaces.

Rated 3 de 5 de par they work they fit, I wasn't sure because there is no cross reference or part number to search and the website is poorly designed.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Use indoors I needed extra rubber tips for indoor and urban sidewalk use to provide balance support for a chemo patient to have an alternative to a walker during treatment.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Alternative to Accelerated Erosion I purchased 4 pairs of these for my girl friend and myself before hiking out to Utah because I read that the standard tips damage sand/lime stone. The have a decent grip not exceptional, but as good as you could reasonably want. While at Zion National Park a local came up to us on the trail and asked about our tips and if there were covered. I proudly responded that they were in fact rubber tips and they were not damaging the soft stone. She appreciated the prior research.
