TIMMY KANG
Timothy Kang is a professional rock climber based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since discovering climbing in 2012, he’s immersed himself in every facet of the sport—from international competition to coaching, routesetting, and even hosting climbing-focused podcasts. While much of his foundation was built training indoors, Timothy has developed a particular appreciation for the mental precision required in highball bouldering. Bishop, California holds a special place in his heart, and he’s continually drawn to the challenge and clarity found on tall, exposed lines. Looking ahead, Timothy hopes to explore new zones and begin establishing his own highball problems.
Off the wall, Timothy works as a Project Coordinator for a real estate development company, where he contributes to projects that intersect with the climbing industry. He’s passionate about shaping the future of the sport—not only through performance, but also through thoughtful development and community impact. He currently lives in Las Vegas with his dog, Jax, and plans to stay rooted there for both the climbing access and the city’s potential as a creative and cultural hub.
Climbing brings out the best in me—even when I’m falling, you’ll still catch me smiling
