Overseas Departements and Remote Areas
Orders shipped outside the European Union might be subject to import customs and taxes, which will be collected at delivery. In principle, it is not possible to deliver to French "Dom-Tom" (overseas departments/region/collectivities, CSG, French Southern and Antarctic Lands) and other remote areas that are parte of the EU. Customers of these territories that are part of the European Union can place orders as EU citizens, but have to organize the shipment or collection of the ordered goods and bear the related expenses themselves.
Black Diamond Return Policy
Within 30 days of delivery you can return items to us for a full refund less a return fee.
We only accept items in brand new, unused condition, with all hang tags and packaging. Original order shipping charges, if applicable, are not refundable.
This procedure exists additionally to to your right to withdraw from your order.
How to return items:
- Log into our Consumer Portal. Enter your order number (which can be found in the confirmation email for your order) and your postal code
- Follow the process, by selecting the item(s) you wish to return, choosing the return reason and selecting your preferred carrier
- Print out the return label
- Pack the items in the original packaging. Be sure to securely attach the return label to the outside of your packge.
- Head to the nearest drop off location of the chosen carrier to return your parcel, within 30 days. Please be sure to retain your shipping receipt as proof of you return.
- Refunds are typically processed within 4-6 business days of receipt of your return. Processing times can vary seasonally, your patience is appreciated!
Exchange Policy
If you need a different size, color or product please return your item(s) for a refund and place a new order at your convenience. We process refunds promptly upon receipt of your return and placing a new order now ensures that you'll get your new item quickly, and that it won't go out of stock.

Q: How can I return something?
A: Please go to our Consumer Portal and follow the process there.
Q: Are returns free of charge?
A: Black Diamond covers most of the associated return costs (e.g. shipping, packaging, handling,…). However a return fee will be deducted from your refund. The amount is dependent on your location and can be seen in the table above.
Q: Why do you charge a return fee?
A: Black Diamond would like to make a contribution to reducing the enourmous number of returns and the resulting environmental impact.
Please purchase and return items wisely – the less unnecessary shipping and packaging, the better. Every newly acquired product should be carefully chosen.
Q: How will I be charged the returns fee?
A: The return fee will be deducted from your refund.
Q: Will I be informed when you have received the return?
A: We do not proactively send out a notification once we have received the return but you will receive a notification once the refund is processed.
Q: What can I do if I have received a defective / wrong item?

In case you have received a defective item, please start a warranty claim here.
Q: Can I return my order in a Black Diamond Store or a dealer selling Black Diamond Equipment?
A: No, you cannot return your order at a Black Diamond Store or any dealer. Items ordered online must be returned through our Consumer Portal.
Q: When can I expect my refund?
A: Refunds are made via the same payment method you used to pay for your order and usually take a maximum of 14 days.
Q: How do I get the return label?
A: Please go to our Consumer Portal, entering your order number and your postal code and follow the process there. You will then be able to print out your return label.
Q: Can I return items from different orders in one package?
A: No, we ask you to return items from different orders separately. Please be aware that only the items with the appropriate return label are insured and can be processed correctly. In the event that the package is lost or there is other shipping damage, part of your return would not be insured
Q: Is it possible to exchange a returned item?
A: No, we don`t offer a direct exchange of ordered items. Please return your item(s) for a refund and place a new order at your convenience.
Q: Does Black Diamond collect returns?
A: No, it is not possible to have returns collected.
Q: Can I return items from Non-EU Countries?
A: Yes, you can return items from Non-EU countries. The corresponding return fees apply (see table above).

Q: I have lost the return label. Where can I get a new one?
A: You can go to our Consumer Portal anytime, enter your order number and your postal code and re-print the label for items not yet shipped back.
