BLACK DIAMOND PRESENTS: LINES CLIMBING MIXTAPE
It was autumn 2020 in Maltatal when Elias and Kim decided to found Lines. All their friends were immediately enthusiastic about the idea and started gathering video content.
The idea behind Lines is a YouTube channel that collects and uploads videos from friends and relatives to achieve a wider reach and more awareness. The first
video went online at the beginning of 2021 and videos have been uploaded at
regular intervals ever since.
From hard bouldering to first ascents to simply beautiful lines, everything is there. For bouldering and climbing fans who are just looking for beta videos or want to see cinematically beautiful shots, everything from cool edits to uncut videos is represented on Lines.
LINES isn’t just a channel – it’s a growing archive of real climbing moments. A place to get inspired. And a reminder that every climber has a line worth sharing.

When climber and BD athlete Kim Marschner teamed up with Elias to launch LINES, it quickly grew from a grassroots video project into a creative platform for the climbing community. Here, climbers share stories, connect through film, and inspire others far beyond the crag.
With shared values of authenticity, creativity, and community, supporting LINES was a natural step for Black Diamond. Together, we’re proud to celebrate climbing not just as performance, but as outdoor storytelling — a way to express passion, culture, and movement. Through LINES, we aim to empower the next generation of climbers and bring this vision to a wider audience.
