On October 28th, Babsi Zangerl claimed the fourth ascent of Meltdown (5.14c) in Yosemite. Established by Beth Rodden 15 years ago, the route has become the ultimate trad testpiece in the Valley, and one of the world’s hardest crack climbs. Babsi’s ascent is the first repeat by a woman, and it’s also worth noting that all repeats of the route have been by Black Diamond athletes, with Carlo Traversi making the second, and Jacopo Larcher with the third ascent. Watch Babsi’s uncut send and get stoked.
