COLETTE MCINERNEY
Colette McInerney is a rock climber, filmmaker, and storyteller whose passion for adventure has taken her across the globe. Originally from Nashville, TN, Colette stumbled into climbing while living in New York City for college—an unexpected detour that soon became a lifelong pursuit. A road trip out west sealed the deal, igniting a love for movement, exploration, and the unique culture surrounding the sport.
Since then, Colette has traveled the world, climbing and documenting the sport through film and photography. She’s ticked off some proud ascents, including China Crisis (5.14a/8b+) and Marroncita (5.13d/8b) in Oliana, Spain, as well as onsighting 5.12d and sending over 100 routes in the 5.13 range. But for her, climbing has always been about more than just the grades—it’s about the people, the places, and the moments that make it all worthwhile.
Beyond climbing, Colette has carved out a career in filmmaking, working with brands like National Geographic and Reel Rock. She also co-founded Never Not Collective, an all-women’s production team dedicated to telling stories that need to be heard. Whether she’s behind the lens or on the sharp end, she’s always looking for the next challenge—just as long as there’s a solid cup of coffee and a good breeze along the way.
