TIMMY KANG

Timothy Kang ist ein professioneller Felskletterer aus Las Vegas, Nevada. Seit er 2012 das Klettern für sich entdeckt hat, lebt er jeden Aspekt dieses Sports – von internationalen Wettkämpfen über Coaching und Routenbau bis hin zu eigenen Kletter-Podcasts. Auch wenn sein Fundament in der Halle gelegt wurde, hat Timothy eine besondere Leidenschaft für die mentale Präzision beim Highball-Bouldern entwickelt. Bishop, Kalifornien, ist für ihn ein ganz besonderer Ort, und die Herausforderung und Klarheit auf hohen, ausgesetzten Linien ziehen ihn immer wieder dorthin zurück. In Zukunft will Timothy neue Gebiete erkunden und eigene Highball-Probleme erschließen.

Abseits der Wand arbeitet Timothy als Projektkoordinator bei einer Immobilienentwicklung, wo er an Projekten mitwirkt, die Berührungspunkte mit der Kletterbranche haben. Er brennt dafür, die Zukunft des Klettersports mitzugestalten – nicht nur durch Performance, sondern auch durch nachhaltige Entwicklung und echten Community-Impact. Aktuell lebt er mit seinem Hund Jax in Las Vegas und will dort bleiben – wegen des unschlagbaren Kletterzugangs und weil die Stadt so viel kreatives und kulturelles Potenzial bietet.
