Efficiency and easy deployment are the name of the game with the Distance Carbon Z FKT.
Inspired by our athletes who move fast and go far, these poles reset the bar for ultralight performance and fast and efficient power transfer. The FKT is built around an innovative, ultralight mesh glove strap with a magnetic, quick-connect attachment system that allows for efficient deployment and storage and can be released easily with the press of a button. With an extended ultralight foam grip and a full carbon construction, the Distance Carbon Z FKT is purpose-built for fast-paced mountain running.
Z-Pole Rapid Deployment
Speed Cone technology comes from our expertise in avalanche probe design—a key component of Z-Poles’ stiffness and fast deployment.

How to measure
Pole Length:
On flat ground the top of the trekking pole handle should be at waist or hip level and your elbow at 90 degrees (see illustration).
- For walking, hiking, and backpacking: stability and support matter most. Size up if you're right on a size cusp.
- For running: uphill propulsion matters most. Size down if you're right on a size cusp.
Strap Circumference:
- Wrap a tape measure around your dominant hand at the knuckles (excluding the thumb)
