The Black Diamond HighLine Stretch Shell is the most versatile, and technical, 3-layer mountain shell in our collection.
The HighLine features a premier combination of our BD.dry and Empel waterproof/breathable protection with a backing fabric to help regulate core temperature as you move. With fast and light movement in mind, the HighLine is built to move with you, and features an adjustable hood, shoulder seams with added range of motion, and a lowered neckline to facilitate movement with a pack on. Two chest pockets, two hand pockets, one interior stash pocket, and pit zips round out the feature set on this alpine shell built for the mountains.SPECS

PFC-Free, extremely durable, with unparalleled performance, GTT Empel uses a patented process to permanently hyper-fuse the water protective finish directly to the individual fibers of the fabric, offering unmatched super-hydrophobic properties, while maintaining optimal breathability.
BD.Dry 3L
Waterproof. Breathability. Durability. Stretch. BD.dry™ 3L face fabrics are treated with a DWR and these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to transfer through, making them waterproof, yet breathable. Applied to the backside of this fabric is a third layer, jersey backer, that feels comfortable next to the skin and allows moisture to turn to vapor before passing through the hydrophilic membrane. Slim Fit
Designed to fit slim to the body for an athletic, low-profile fit without restricting mobility and accommodating base layers or light midlayers.
Regular Fit
A classic universal fit with comfortable ease. May feature slight body shaping, but predominantly straighter fit that will accommodate midlayers more comfortably.
Relaxed Fit:
Generous through the body for a casual loose-to-oversized fit without shaping. Designed for comfort, it accommodates heavier mid-layers.
How to Measure
Chest
Measure around the chest/bust just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Arm Length
Measure from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down the arm to the wrist.
Hip
Measure around the widest point of the hips.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of the waist.
