Als einer der strapazierfähigsten schaumstoffbasierten Helme unserer Black Diamond-Kollektion ist der Vision MIPS aus EPP-Verbundschaum mit eingeformtem EPS und einer Helmschale aus ABS zum Schutz vor Dellen gefertigt. Gleichzeitig ist der Helm mit der neuen, revolutionären MIPS-Technologie ausgestattet. Das MIPS-System schützt den Kopf vor der bei einem Aufschlag entstehenden Rotationskraft, wenn der Schlag aus einem schrägen Winkel erfolgt. Dieses zusätzliche Schutzsystem reduziert nachweislich die Rotationskraft auf das Gehirn, indem es schräg auf den Helm einwirkende Stöße absorbiert und umlenkt. Die verbesserte Passform an den Seiten und hinten verbessert die Schutzfunktion und entspricht den vorgeschlagenen UIAA-Anforderungen. Die strategisch platzierten Belüftungsöffnungen sorgen bei warmen Temperaturen für Luftzirkulation. Das Befestigungssystem und der Kinnriemen des Vision sind leicht und bequem, während die integrierten Stirnlampenclips so angeordnet sind, dass sich beim Überstreifen von Schlingen kein Material verhakt und nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit eine Lampe befestigt werden kann.

"Bought this 1 year ago. Albeit a comfortable helmet, and stable on head, there is one BIG downfall and a problem with this helmet. It is black and the material gets super hot on sunny and hot summer routes. . . The helmet gets so unbelievably hot, almost like from the owen, and your head will get quickly overheated. I put a light color tshirt over it to cool the helmet down and to be able to finish the route. My climbing partner had dark blue helmet from Dechatlon, and his helmet was quite cool the whole time. You should reconsider the colour and the material of this helmet."

Black to fry your brain

"Why on earth is this thing black? It is, indeed, a very good helmet but somebody should realize that having a piece of molten lava on your head when trying to scale a crux is not the best of ideas. Of course, people climb in all seasons and at various places, somewhere it is not a problem. It is unusable in sunny summer weather, though. If you are heading to Arco, leave this thing at home. It is great, needs some light colour to avoid overheating."
