"The 34" waist shorts actually measure closer to 38 inches. I'm unsure if this is a manufacturing issue as Black Diamond don't bother to reply to any emails. Now I risk having to pay a restocking fee because they can't get basic sizing correct."
"Very close to perfect. I personally really like the fit of the shorts . The zippered thigh pocket, which I wanted to use for my cell phone when climbing, is oriented the wrong way. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24, which is on the smaller side of phones these days I think and it doesn't fit vertically (parellel to your leg). It does fit horizontally, but this makes not sense since it then sticks out and would constantly be hitting rocks and is uncomfortable even when walking. If the pocket was 2 cm taller it would be great. Sizing info: 186 cm, 77kg - 33 fits well with a belt. I suspect the 32 would be correct for my waist but the legs would be tighter...maybe too tight."
